A couple of weeks ago, I sent my Twitter-friend, Ben McCanna (also a photographer at The Forecaster) a message asking if he ever needed someone to shoot a show for his Portland music blog, Post Mortem, to get in touch with me. Yesterday, I he asked me if I could shoot a show that night at Geno's Rock Club. Since I didn't really have any plans, and I really wanted to give shooting live music a try, I agreed to shoot the show.
I had never been to Geno's before, and I was a little out of my element, since I don't normally hang with the kind of crowd that Geno's attracts. However, I had a blast shooting the show, and I think I came away with a few really solid images. Due to the really dim lighting at the venue, I was handcuffed to my 50mm f/1.8 lens. It was a challenge, but I really enjoyed it.
Take a look at the images below and let me know what you think!
